CAR-T Supergirl: The Prequel (Laurie Adami, YouTube, 2020) - A short documentary filmed during Laurie's training in Utah for her planned climb to Everest Base Camp, interweaving her personal account of twelve years of cancer treatment and her experience as one of the first patients to receive CAR-T therapy at UCLA with commentary from her oncologist and the research team who treated her. Filmed in Cedar Breaks and Hondo Canyon, the video captures Laurie in in training, cross-country skiing and hiking at altitude while reflecting on what it meant to survive - and on her commitment to raise funds for immunotherapy research as a way of giving back to the science that saved her life.
